School Holidays

 

This week, the children are on holidays and I have taken the time off too. We are not going anywhere but it doesn't bother us. We are planning to take it easy and have a very relaxing time...  I will start to sew those crochet squares together in an attempt to finish the blanket I planned to make ages ago!

 
We will watch this brilliant film which I saw years ago. So long ago, in fact, that I can't remember the end... Excellent!

We will go to an Art exhibition opened to young Artists aged between 13 and 19 which, I am sure, will be inspiring and full of budding talent. Hopefully, the sun will be shining like on this picture and we will be able to have a coffee on the terrace overlooking the quay.

Back from the Moors

 

I am back from a week's break on Dartmoor, one of our favourite places to go when we need a change of scenery. The fog that shrouded the Moors some days gave the perfect atmosphere to re-read The Hound of the Baskervilles at night, in a comfy chair, next to a log fire with a steaming cup of hot chocolate.

I came back home to find that our copies of Kim Hargreaves Cherished had arrived!... That was the perfect end of the holiday. I can think of a few patterns I could knit to take with me on my next trip to Widecombe in the Moor...

 

Back from holidays...

I am back from my holidays and I must confess that I hardly touched my needles when I was away! The children have been back to school for nearly two weeks now and because they have been told that they will take their Maths GCSE in November, every evening "we" have been doing maths revision, which doesn't leave me much time for knitting relaxation... When I get a moment, I am working on making some knitting bags which will go on sale in the shop in the near future. With what little time I have got left I have managed to crochet quite a few granny squares for another blanket and am now about half way through it. Hopefully I will be posting progress pictures next time. In the meantime, here is a glimpse of my past holiday.. 

 

Holiday time...

Time really flies during the school holidays!... I didn't realise a month had passed since my last post... No time to blog, no time to take pictures...

We are off on our holidays at the end of the week to Brittany and I am really looking forward to this break! I will be back in September to tell you all about my new project(s).
