I had many sewing plans of Summer dresses and tops... Alas, the weather has been so awful here that I had little motivation to go ahead. Instead I settled for a lightweight jacket to keep me warm!...
The pattern is New Look 6028. It says Easy on the cover and it is indeed that. I would recommend it even for novice seamstresses. I didn't change anything. I am very pleased with the fit and will certainly use this pattern again, maybe as part of a more formal suit with a pencil skirt.
I chose the version with the ruffle all around the edges as illustrated by the model. The ruffle was time consuming but well worth the effort in my opinion.
WOW! This is superbly tailored! It looks like the jackets I see so often at Zara! Lovely tweedy fabric and the ruffles complete the look.

It is beautiful and I like the ruffles, looks very Chanelish, especially with the tweedy fabric. Wonderful done, it´s such a pretty jacket and I love that it could be worn so well with either jeans or skirts, once again you have choose a design I would love to wear, too!

Yes, well done - very, very Chanel. They wore similar jackets in "Made in Chelsea".

Love the fabric! The jacket is very beautiful. I'm going to sew exactly the same jacket this week. So visit my blog!
