I thought it would be a good idea to share my little corner of the world with you from time to time...
Having lived on an island for more than twenty years, I tend to take views such as this one for granted. Shame on me!... My daughter has taken up photography this year as one of her A-Levels subjects and I am her chauffeur, helping her getting from A to B. Through our walks and her pictures, I am re-discovering my surroundings.
Our beaches are quite deserted at this time of year. This photograph of Yaverland beach was taken yesterday morning. You can just make out a couple of walkers in the far distance and a lonely seagull....

The beach huts are all closed, waiting for the Summer to return...

I hope you have enjoyed these views from the Isle of Wight. I will try to make a regular feature of showing you my part of the world through the lenses of a camera (today courtesy of my daughter's).
