I think there is something than links Summer and warm weather with crochet, in my mind anyway... I put my knitting needles aside when the air smells sweet with the scent of the flowers and I yearn to go outside.
It does not take much to send me looking for my hook...
A couple of pictures will do...
... and I'm on my way! Don't ask me what I'm doing because I am still not quite sure myself. But I love mixing all those glorious colours together and it makes me happy.
For the moment it's enough for me...
Love the pretty rich colours :) I'm crocheting something too :)

Your squares are so very beautiful, love the kind of flower in their middle. Looks like a very complicated pattern with lots of counting, but worth every stitch. Like you, I also love and prefer to crochet in summer, somehow I imagine it´s easier to work single crochet stitches in the heat, than having a hundred stitches on the needle and trying to knit with sweating hands. But - as much as I love to crochet my ripple blanket at the evenings, as much I am already longing for a cosy, comfortable knit with pure wool. (Although I really don´t like autumn and winter to arrive too fast!)
