Yesterday evening was Knitting club night. Coffee, laughs, lots of chat and... very little knitting done. That is for me anyway as I can't really speak for the others... I love going to catch up on the news, admire other people's work, look at new patterns whilst attempting to knit a few rows myself. Eight times out of ten, I come back home to undo what little I have achieved because I made a mistake! I came to the painful conclusion that I am not a social knitter. But I will keep going anyway because it is fun and everyone is great. The "serious" knitting will be done in-between...
I have decided to knit for the 3rd TIME one of my favourite patterns: Martha, from Rowan 37. I knitted my first version in wool, my second version was beaded and my 3rd version will be in cotton (I don't want people to think I am boring!). I dropped the size needle to 2.75mm to even the stitches and it seems to work. I am pleased with the results and enthusiastic enough to believe I will have a new Martha for Spring!...
I love that pattern too, it always looks gorgeous. I like your cotton version so far. When I lose some weight I might even knit one for myself!

What a wonderful choice of the colour, looks really like a fresh air of summer and reminds me a lot of all the beautiful designs in an old Rowan magazine where so many summer garments are knitted in white (Can´t remember the mag-number but I think you know which one I am meaning). Are you using the discontinued 4Ply Cotton or is this the new Milk Cotton?
