Martha is finally finished!... Started sometime in December, it has been quite a long labour of love but I can truly say that I don't regret any extra time spent with her. I have discovered that I really enjoy 4 ply knitting even so it monopolise the needles for a while...
It is knitted in Jaeger baby 4 ply Merino wool instead of the Rowan 4 ply Cotton, but I chose the original multi coloured buttons which, I think, add a bit of fun to a rather classic cardigan.
It looks beautiful and I love the colour!

Félicitations, Martha est bien belle et la taille est parfaite. La couleur ? elle me fait penser à une pastèque (enfin, sur mon écran). Ca sent les beaux jours. Pas mal ton idée de mettre des boutons différents !

Martha looks fantastic. I too like working on smaller needles as I think it gives the garment a better finish. I like the multi colored buttons too. What is next on your list of knits.

It is so beautiful, Francoise, I love the perfect fit and the colour is so great to welcome spring. It´s a wonderful, gorgeous little cardi and worth every single tiny stitch and occupied needles. And you are quite right, the buttons are giving it an extra-chic, this certain je ne ce pas (although I shouldn´t write french to a French, above all when I couldn´t speak it, but I hope you know what I am meaning!)
