Martha is finally finished!... Started sometime in December, it has been quite a long labour of love but I can truly say that I don't regret any extra time spent with her. I have discovered that I really enjoy 4 ply knitting even so it monopolise the needles for a while...
It is knitted in Jaeger baby 4 ply Merino wool instead of the Rowan 4 ply Cotton, but I chose the original multi coloured buttons which, I think, add a bit of fun to a rather classic cardigan.
Time flies and I hadn't realised that so much time had elapsed since my last post...
Life has been a bit hectic over here mainly due to an overdose of football by the children. As they are not in the same team anymore, we find ourselves running from one match to another. As one of them belongs to three teams, we are talking about four matches a week plus three or four training sessions!...
Today was Mother's day and although, we watched one match, I took the rest of the day off to relax and knit a bit more of Martha's sleeve. Once I found my rhythm, progress was satisfying... I might just finish it by the end of this week, if all goes well...
I am still undecided as what to knit next, and a good inventory of my stash is in order soon to help me make up my mind. And with Spring so close now, I feel like sewing... maybe a new bag for the new Season...
Last week had 0% knitting time as my brother and his family came to visit us from France. It was rather hectic but it was so nice to see them again and catch up with the news... They left Saturday and Sunday was spent lazying around. We didn't have much choice actually, as the weather was simply awful... I don't think it stopped raining once!...
The weather gave me the perfect excuse to speed up and I managed to finish Martha's front.
This morning was spent doing the neck band and sewing up everything. Now I am ready for the last sleeve. Martha will be ready for Spring....
The time has come for serious thinking and planning for what's coming next...
