Don't panic...

Every year Christmas comes on 25th December.  You know it,  I know it,  yet every year it catches me by surprise...   Every year I tell myself to get more organised the following year but Christmas comes always too soon!...   10 days to go and panic sets in . I start to behave as if I was in the cast on Chicken Run...

But every year, no matter how late I am,  I know that at the end everything will be fine,  although I might forget something quite important...  We have spent one Christmas without washing-up liquid,  one with no stuffing for the turkey,  I wonder what we will be missing this year...

Now, where did I put the Christmas tree???

Unseasonal knitting...

This picture was taken last Sunday by my husband.  The sea was very angry as you can see and it still is today with the difference that the sun has disappeared as well and it is raining...  It is very miserable outside,  a real Winter's day!

I kept browsing through my knitting books and came across an old favourite of mine from Rowan's Spring/Summer magazine. I know, this is not the season but bright colours keep calling me at the moment and who am I to resist?

Yes Martha, here I come again!...  I have not gone completely summery as I am not using 4ply cotton but Jaeger Baby Merino 4ply...  The light is so bad that I couldn't capture the true shade of the wool on my camera.  It is a pink, bright and shocking. I had this yarn in my stash for so long that I thought it was time it saw the day light.

I know,  this is not the "small" project I had in mind to do... In fact, it will take me quite a while to achieve, being a 4ply knit...  and I wouldn't be surprised if I get distracted on the way.  On the other hand, by starting now,  I might get it finished for the first days of Spring....
