Have a joyful week with your brother!
And I am really in suspense of the new Rowan, here in Germany we will get it in march. Therefor it´s so nice to read about it before. It´s a pitty that it is not as good as it looked at the preview.
Wish you a great weekend,
Suzi

There's an awful lot of overstyling going on in there, and some of the designs will never grace my needles, but I actually don't mind it. Some of the patterns may be tweaked a little, but then that's half the fun sometimes isn't it? There are lots of designs out for the Summer from other designers that I've got my eye on though, I'm sure we will be spoilt for choice ;)
Enjoy your week.

I've been squinting at fuzzy online photos of the new rowan and I must admit that I wasn't too impressed. I didn't buy the last issue either. But the new RY and Jaeger books seem quite interesting. Have a great week and enjoy your brother's visit.

I'm like you, designs grow on me! And, like you, I liked lots on the preview sheet, but nothing in the book, apart from the bags and the photographs!
The RYC Classic is, IMO, better. I especially like the Classic Beach, though the new Natural Silk Aran is largely viscose! But it's aran weight and can be subbed with one of the nicer aran yarns.
Have a nice time wiht your brother!

Dawn:)

Profite bien de ces quelques jours en famille. Je n'ai toujours pas eu l'occasion de feuilleter le nouveau Rowan, mais ça ne saurait tarder...

Enjoy your week with your brother. Am still waiting for the new Rowan to arrive over the pond. I can't wait to see it - there seems to be such differing opinions.

Seule la collection "Tribal" me plaît bien dans le dernier Rowan, le reste n'étant pas très novateur à mon goût.
Profite bien de ton petit frère et reviens nous vite !

Thank you for the heads up on the A Midas Touch book from Rowan.

I hope you are having a good time with your brother! :)

I got my copy of the new Rowan too... and I haven't really made up my mind yet. I do like the Charleston top - and didn't know that the designer was the same one for "Midas" - I'll definitely be checking that one out now - so thanks for the heads up there. Mostly -the designs were so overshadowed by the costuming - and it just was a bit too over the top for me.
