First inspired by Suzi's post which in turn linked me to Cherry Heart's, I decided that giving my home a bit of TLC this year would be a great idea! Like many of us, I find household chores boring and always find an excuse to delay or forget them altogether. The result is that I have got used to my surroundings so much that I don't see the eyesores anymore... until I want to take a photo and realise how bad it would look in print!...
So I have written a list of all the rooms to tackle, all the drawers, shelves, wardrobes, etc... which need decluttering. Believe me, the list is very long!... But if I act methodically, one room at a time, I'll get there eventually.
My aim is to give my home a complete facelift, re-decorate if I need to (depending on the budget), get rid of all the unecessary clutter, make it pretty and cosy. I want to make throws, cushions, pretty things myself, as much as possible. I don't want to turn it into a show home but I want to put my stamp on it and make it my own little heaven.
Way to go, Francoise! I was just commenting at Suzi's blog :) It's great how blog reading inspires us. Have fun as you de-clutter and make plans for pretty things! In my house de-cluttering turns into a family affair as we reminisce over long forgotten things. The difficulty for me is in being ruthless enough to chuck things out :)
