A new venture...

Womandrivingknittingb_3 I am afraid that I have NO knitting to report!...

The first week was the children school holidays which, as usual, do not permit much leisure time.

The following week  my brother and his wife came to visit from France for a week and time was spent catching up on all the news from home and shopping till they dropped.

This week my sister-in-law and I are working flat out to put the final touches to a new venture:  an on-line yarn shop!  This big project has been on our minds for a while and we have decided to take the plunge and have a go. This is a huge project for us, exciting and frightening at the same time. Between making our first big order, building the website, making phone calls, taking notes of all the details and carrying on with work and family day to day needs, life has become quite manic....

I do apologise if I have not visited as many blogs as usual and took some time to answer your e-mails. I should think that we will be ready to "open" in a couple of weeks, maybe less. I will let you know when the time comes. In the meantime, I am still visiting your blogs, keeping up with your news and admiring your creations even if I don't always find the energy to leave a comment. When I have more free time, I will catch up. It is a promise!...

How exciting is this! You're going to be super busy, no wonder you've not had time to knit, considering you've had half term and visits and yarn shop!

It is wonderfully exciting!! I shall keep an eagle eye out!!!

Oh so wonderfull!Looking forward to visiting your shop when it opens

Good luck with the shop. Please let me know when you open.

Ohhh ! Mais en voilà une grande nouvelle !

I just LOVE your blog site, my first time visiting, wow, your darling illustrations are so vintage and whimsical. Your charming fingerless gloves are sweet. I actually knit a bit of a different verison of them, I call them, wristlets, and I felt them and then add my detail work. I will be posting about mine soon. Knitting and felting purses are my passion.

I'm so glad I found your blog, I will be back to continue to read more about you and see more of your knitting projects...just lovely! :) Oh and your on-line yarn shop sounds like something I would be very interested in...

Oh Francoise, this are really fantastic news! No wonder that you don´t have time to knit at the moment. It must be really exiting to visit the yarn companies, a thing I am really envying you, to order and select and try to stay within your limit. It´s absolutely hard for me to wait until your opening, I so much love to shop at you!

Francoise - the is wonderful news. Good luck on your new venture to you both. I shall look forward to the grand opening.

Quelle bonne nouvelle !

I've been a bit remiss in not visiting as often as I'd have liked but I can't wait to see what you do... If you need a beta tester ;) I am sure you won't need it but good luck nevertheless. x

What exciting news! Can't wait to visit when it opens.
